  • Facility Descriptions for Grants (Word document)
    Short descriptions of core facilities on campus.  The Core Research Facilities are a collection of centralized laboratories dedicated to developing and providing state-of-the-art research resources to facilitate biomedical research. They are available on a fee-for-service basis to the entire health sciences community as well as outside entities.

Internal Funding
  • VPMA Focused Grant Revision Supplement Opportunity 
    This program is intended to enhance competitiveness of revised (i.e., A1) NIH grant applications for funding. VPMA Focused Grant Revision Supplement funds would provide interim support for investigators to address 1 - 2 specific, score-driving weaknesses noted in the summary statement. Summary statement must have been received within the past 12 months of application to this funding opportunity. Click the title for details and how to apply.
  • CCOM GAP Fund 
    The Carver College of Medicine GAP Fund is designed to support innovative faculty and staff developing drug delivery systems, device, and health software technology in the CCOM.  Proposal submission due dates vary, so please check the website often.
  • Research Bridge Funding
    Funds to maintain research programs, particularly the support of long-term professional and scientific personnel, during the preparation and review of a resubmitted application
  • Levitt Visiting Professorship
    Provides salary support for a visiting faculty member to spend 6-12 months at the Carver College of Medicine for a research sabbatical and includes modest teaching responsibilities/opportunities.
  • Stead Family Scholars Program for Early Career Investigator Research
    Provides funding support to outstanding early-stage tenure-track investigators, who are becoming internationally recognized leaders in their respective fields of research, to pursue new unexplored ideas that promise consequential discoveries.
  • Pilot Grant Funding Opportunities
    A summary of pilot grant funding opportunities available to UI Carver College of Medicine faculty.
