The RASO Dedicated Support team provides full-time dedicated research administrative support to departments for all pre- and post- award activities, based on departmental needs. Research Support Personnel are funded by Departments and the Carver College of Medicine.
Services

- Budget and Budget Justification Preparation
- Proposal Preparation and Assembly
- Administrative components of a proposal, such as Facilities and Other Resources, Biosketches, Other Support documentation
- Routing Form Preparation and Submission
- Just-in-Time Assembly and Submission
- Reconciliation of TDRs
- Clinical Trial Invoicing
- Burn-Rate Projections
- Initiate Changes of Status with CDA, when required
RASO sets expectations for investigators regarding submission of grant proposals, contracts, revised budgets, and invoices (when applicable). The following are a few items. For more details of Roles and Responsibilities, please review our Roles and Responsibilities document.
- Principal investigators are responsible for notifying RASO in a timely manner of planned proposal submission in order for RASO and the investigator to meet the university routing form deadline of five business days before the submission deadline.
- Principal investigators are responsible for adhering to the sponsor’s guidelines, rules and regulations regarding award administration. RASO will help with interpreting and following those guidelines, rules and regulations.
- Principal investigators are responsible for all compliance requirements, such as IRB and/or IACUC applications, modifications, and approvals.
